Description

The National September 11 Memorial Museum in New York was completed in 2014 and was designed to resonate with its surrounding context. With floor to ceiling glass windows providing light and views across the site, it was necessary to devise a customised solution that allowed for heating within the concrete floor. This was one of the reasons to choose for the Jaga Mini Canal trench heater.

The Mini Canal reacts quickly to any fluctuations in temperature, and the Low-H20 technology cuts carbon emissions by 10%. A super conductive and efficient heating system, with a low water content and ultra-fast heat exchanger, ensuring maximum heat and low energy consumption. Its minimal recess depth of 9 cm makes it ideal for buildings with large windows to eliminate any potential drafts, without blocking views.

Designed by Snøhetta, the pavilion has a LEED Gold certification and hereby follows the Memorial’s sustainability guidelines. The building is optimised to perform with minimal energy and the installation of Jaga’s underfloor heating system helps to achieve this, while reducing operating costs.

Description

Aardman Animations is known for films made using stop-motion clay animation technqiues, particularly those featuring the British characters Wallace and Gromit.

Aardman Animations have recently moved in to their new studio headquarters in Bristol, where Jaga has supplied trench heating throughout the building. Any building – however innovative its layout and design may be – is only as good as the electrical and mechanical infrastructure that is fitted throughout.

For Aardman’s office, Alec French Architects turned to Jaga to supply unobtrusive and efficient heating. Jaga’s Mini Canal trench heating was chosen for the project due to its excellent value, efficient performance and space-saving benefits.

To give the Aardman team localised control over the temperature in each area of the building, the output of Jaga’s trench heating can be adjusted by a wall-mounted thermostat found in every section. The internal elements of the Mini Canal have been made ‘invisible’, using lacquered dark grey components. The only eye-catching element left, is the grille which can be perfectly tailored to match the floor.

Description

Akasya Göl is a residential project in Istanbul. An environment which imitates the ancient woods of Acibadem, with safe areas for pedestrians, sporting facilities and playgrounds for all ages.

In the center of Akasya Göl a stream has been created at the original place of the once existing stream, in order to obtain the nostalgic rich fauna and flora of the area.

Apart from the high-rise building, all residents have the possibility of green terraces. To increase energy efficiency, green roofs and solar panels have been used. Even the rain water is recycled for the garden irrigation.

In this environmentally friendly and sustainable project the Jaga Micro Canal was chosen. Maximum warmth, minimum dimensions and minimum energy consumption. This floor recessed element is only 6 cm high and 13 cm wide, with small but powerful Low-H2O heat exchangers and quiet fans that are hardly bigger than the diameter of a radiator thermostat. This creates extremely high power and was the perfect solution for this project.

Akasya Koru is created round an approximately 10,000 m2 arboretum to compensate the lost woods of Acibadem.

Description

In the Armonia project Jaga Mini Canal and Mini are used in the 13,000 m2 office space.

Both radiators are equipped with the Jaga Low-H2O heat exchanger made of super-fast conducting copper and aluminium. The ultra-modern heat exchanger rapidly transfers the heat to the room.

Mini Canal and Mini are the perfect solutions for spaces with large windows, glazed facades, conservatories, display windows and offices.

These solutions use less energy and their low impact on the environment continues even after their working lives. The fact that a Jaga Low-H2O radiator is lighter and smaller than traditional radiators with the same power, means not as much raw material is needed for production. Low- H2O radiators have a longer life and at the end of their life, they can be completely recovered.

Jaga Low-H2O radiators react faster to heat demand and offer more comfort with a lower energy consumption.

Located within Birmingham city centre, Associated Architects is one of the region’s most respected architectural practices. The firm, which occupies 7,000 square-feet of ground floor offices in the Mailbox Building, recently decided to overhaul its office heating and ventilation systems.

Jaga’s Mini Canal trench heating system was selected for the refurbishment as it offered the twin benefits of saving energy costs and being able to rapidly respond to changing ambient temperatures.

Both the floor-to-ceiling glazing and the need to preserve every inch of usable space meant that wall-mounted heaters were not practical. Jaga’s Mini Canal is a shallow trench heating system that is easy to install and maintain, and sits flush with the floor covering in front of the glazed facade.

With its choice of grilles, the Mini Canal is suitable for almost any office design. Associated Architects chose an aluminium grille for the interior, to complement the stone slab and ochre-coloured flooring.

Description

The Business Garden in Warsaw is one of three business parks currently being developed in Poland that have received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification.

As part of the developers’ drive for superior eco-efficiency, Jaga’s Mini Freestanding radiators were used in the hotel and office lobbies, as well as the Jaga Strada being used in the lobbies as well. Both radiators are built with Jaga’s Low-H20 technology for highly efficient performance from the low mass and low water content design.

Jaga’s Low-H20 radiators weighs only one-tenth as much as a traditional steel panel radiator and contains only 10% of the water. As a result carbon emissions are reduced by 10-15% and the radiators react three times as quickly to fluctuations in temperature.

The Mini Freestanding option features an unobtrusive design that is ideal for lining the walls of the buildings, with heights ranging from 8 to 28cm. The Strada’s sleek, modern design makes it a perfect aesthetic addition to any contemporary building.
